A partial listing of the faculty's
research interests includes the etiology and preventability of
reproductive and child health disorder, nutritional and cardiovascular
diseases, cancer, and communicable diseases. Research programs in
occupational health and the assessment of medical care effectiveness are
actively pursued.
Faculty members are developing
methodological innovations in epidemiologic modeling, disease
mapping, and biostatistical procedures. A focus on the public
health relevance and impact of research findings is a central
departmental emphasis.
