Qing Lu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University. His research interest is primarily in statistical genetics. One area of research is the development and application of new statistical methods for association analysis of genome-wide data and next generation sequencing data (e.g., using U-statistics for high-dimensional gene-gene/gene-environment interaction analyses). In parallel with this line of research, his group also develops statistical methods and software for designing and evaluating population-based and family-based risk prediction models.
