Dr. Reed is an assistant professor of epidemiology and Director of the Biomedical Research & Informatics Center.  As an occupational and psychiatric epidemiologist, Dr. Reed is interested in the impact of work environment on health.  He currently is studying the effects of work-related chronic and traumatic stress on professional firefighters and young adults.  The health outcomes of primary interest to Dr. Reed include alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drug use and dependence, as well as post traumatic stress disorder and depression.
