Community of Science Expertise Profile

Dr. Wirth is a PhD microbiologist with graduate training in epidemiology, whose current primary research focus is the study of exposures to organochlorines and male reproductive health. She also is expert in resarch on environmental chemicals and human health generally, and is studying gene-environment interactions using epidemiological and microbiological research approaches. Dr. Wirth helps to link the department faculty and students with the Michigan Department of Community Health’s epidemiological research activities.
