Traineeships

Our department hosts two NIH-supported epidemiology training programs for U.S. citizens and permanent residents. We seek highly motivated applicants who aspire to NIH-supported research careers and who value our blend of an individualized high-faculty-contact research apprenticeship plus a program of required courses, almost all with smaller than 20:1 student-faculty ratio.

Research Training in Perinatal Epidemiology at MSU

An NICHD-supported T-32 training program in perinatal epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology in Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine is seeking highly motivated US citizens/permanent residents who would like to obtain either pre-doctoral or post-doctoral research experience and training in the causes and prevention of pregnancy, newborn and infant disorders, and the relationship of pre- and perinatal phenomena to later human health.

Research Training in Drug Dependence Epidemiology at MSU

Dr. James C. (Jim) Anthony serves as the director on an NIH/NIDA supported T-32 training fellowship program in the Department of Epidemiology in Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. Two postdoctoral and two predoctoral 2 year fellowship positions are available each year for highly motivated U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
