Traineeships
Our
department hosts two NIH-supported
epidemiology training programs for U.S. citizens
and permanent residents. We seek highly motivated
applicants who aspire to NIH-supported research
careers and who value our blend of an
individualized high-faculty-contact research
apprenticeship plus a program of required
courses, almost all with smaller than 20:1
student-faculty ratio.
Research Training in Perinatal Epidemiology at MSU
An NICHD-supported T-32 training program in perinatal
epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology in
Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine is
seeking highly motivated US citizens/permanent residents
who would like to obtain either pre-doctoral or
post-doctoral research experience and training in the
causes and prevention of pregnancy, newborn and infant
disorders, and the relationship of pre- and perinatal
phenomena to later human health.

Drug Dependence Epidemiology at MSU
Dr. James C. (Jim)
Anthony serves as the director on an NIH/NIDA supported T-32
training fellowship program in the Department of Epidemiology in
Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. Two
postdoctoral and two predoctoral 2 year fellowship
positions are available each year for highly motivated
U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
